Thanks to an app provided by Bit2Me, Spaniards have been given the opportunity to easily, quickly and largely anonymously exchange bitcoin for euros at more than 10,000 ATMs. No bank account or ATM card is required to make a cash withdrawal.   The founder of Bit2Me, Leif Ferreira, admits that his company's goal is to open up easy access to digital currencies for Spaniards:   With the ability to convert bitcoin to euros anywhere in Spain, Bit2Me is an easy way for new users to try out digital currencies, without registration and with a mobile device."   By using the Hal-Cash banking service, the app by Bit2Me works with the current ATM infrastructure. Hal-Cash service gives the possibility to send money to any phone number, which can be withdrawn in any ATM.   To use the service, the user, using the application, enters the desired amount of euros, which he intends to withdraw from an ATM, and the phone number to which he receives the first verification code.   Taking into account the current exchange rate of the cryptocurrency, the system calculates how many bitcoins the user should deposit to receive the required amount of cash. This value is then displayed in the app along with the receiving address to which the bitcoins should be deposited.   After making the required deposit, a second verification code is sent to the phone number provided. Both codes will be used to withdraw cash at an ATM.   Ease of use, and a significant degree of anonymity are undoubted advantages of the Bit2Me system. Its drawbacks at the moment, however, include quite high commission costs - higher than the average values of this type that we deal with in the case of "traditional" online cryptocurrency exchanges.   As Ferreira admits, although the main priority of Bit2Me is now working on the development of the service in the country, the company also foresees expansion abroad. Bit2Me confirms plans to integrate its service with a network of about 15,000 ATMs in Mexico.     Any reproduction, distribution, electronic processing or transmission of content from the bitcoin.co.uk pages requires prior permission from the portal.   Tags ATM ATMs Bit2Me bitcoin fiat cash Spain cryptocurrency phone mobile device
