How are the "fat people," or the richest investors, behaving in the cryptocurrency market right now? The 100 most impressive bitcoin addresses have raised almost 350,000 BTC more in the last 30 days. Most, meanwhile, have hardly reacted at all to Bitcoin's recent price drop from $41,000 to below $33,000. Of the addresses that have made any transactions in the last 30 days, only eight have more than ten transfers on their record since December 12. Fat people don't sell! More data? The fatties so far are not selling their holdings. Eight portfolios in the top 10 received their first transaction in September 2018. On the other hand, the latest address, which at the same time is already the top 100 "fattest", was created just two months ago. However, not all addresses are those that belong to the so-called whales. The addresses also belong to stock exchanges. At least ten are controlled by companies such as Huobi, Binance, Bittrex and Kraken. The rest probably belong to institutional investors and simply rich hodlers. How to become a whale? And how to become a big fish in the market? To top the list of addresses on the Bitcoin network, you need to have more than $336 million in BTC. To reach the top 10, however, you already need about $2.2 billion. You can also... create a cryptocurrency. It is believed that at least some of the addresses in the TOP 100 belong to Satoshi Nakamoto. The third "thickest" address, with as much as 94,506 BTC untouched, made headlines and portals in September 2019 after Glassnode reported that 73,000 BTC in a wallet had been transferred from Huobi. It was believed that this was the address of the exchange. According to BitInfoCharts, not a single satoshi was ever withdrawn from 64 of the 100 addresses.
