Investor and billionaire Paul Singer wants Jack Dorsey removed as CEO of Twitter. According to a February 28 CNBC article, the founder of Elliott Management is concerned that Dorsey now has to deal with as many as two companies worth over $5 billion. Added to this is his desire to relocate to Africa. Singer vs. Twitter Singer is not some small player in the market, but an investor whose hedge fund is worth as much as $40.2 billion. Elliott Management is a market giant that has even appointed four directors to Twitter's board recently. But why did Dorsey find himself targeted by the billionaire? Actually, the reason is not particularly original. Twitter's CEO has already been criticized for serving as CEO of as many as two publicly traded companies. In addition to the social network, he also manages a payment platform - Square. Both entities are valued at over $5 billion. Dorsey's ADHD isn't the only problem. Singer is also concerned about his plan to move to Africa, which he announced some time ago. A blow to BTC Dorsey has long been a supporter of Bitcoin and was instrumental in implementing Square's easy-to-use cryptocurrency system, the Cash App. As reported by media outlets that write about digital currencies and blockchain, half of the Cash App's revenue now comes from revenue related to BTC trading. Square has also invested in Square Crypto, a team funded by Square to improve the overall Bitcoin ecosystem. Steve Lee, who recently explained his position to the team in a tweet he wrote, even stated that: "I don't work for Square, I work for Bitcoin. Square pays me so I can devote all my time and energy to working on Bitcoin." However, if Dorsey was removed from Twitter management, it would not be good news for the cryptocurrency market. Recall that some time ago the media wrote about the fact that the portal was to be based on a new, decentralized, foundation. There were also rumors that the company would introduce a tipping system at its site, and these could be paid in BTC. Tags jack dorsey Paul Singer Twitter twitter btc
