Silesian "pezetas" led to the arrest of four men who wanted to kidnap and even torture a cryptocurrency investor. In this way, they planned to force him to pay a ransom of 300 million in BTC. One of the most well-known names involved in the plot is Tomasz B. alias Kadafi - the boss of one of the Bydgoszcz gangs. We have no doubts that it was very carefully planned and prepared operation. Preparations for it lasted several months. Gangsters planned a kidnapping of a millionaire, trading cryptocurrencies on several world exchanges. Their dissection of the victim, would not be ashamed of the special services. The amount of ransom they were hoping for was also shocking. We are talking about hundreds of millions of zlotys - One of the investigators told tvp.info portal. The victim of kidnapping is a Canadian living in Małopolska. According to investigators, he is a "mysterious figure". The man was supposed to have made a fortune on cryptocurrency trading, amounting to up to hundreds of millions of zlotys. According to people familiar with the case, he was a stereotypical rich man. He lived in a huge villa, and expensive sports cars were parked outside his house. 300 million PLN ransom The gangsters had prepared very carefully for the kidnapping. With the help of cameras they monitored the victim and the surrounding area around the clock. However, the most interesting case is the ransom. According to TVP info, the kidnappers were to demand up to 300 million zlotys ransom - in cryptocurrencies, of course. It is worth mentioning here that the biggest ransom transferred in Poland so far amounted to 5 million zlotys. However, the criminals did not manage to carry out the intended act. The plans were thwarted by CBŚP officers from Bielsko-Biała, who established that several "serious bandits" intend to kidnap the businessman. After stopping and searching the "hole" of the would-be kidnappers, the police revealed a lot of "equipment", including secure cell phones, balaclavas, silicone masks, elements of disguise and make-up, stun guns, plastic handcuffs, night vision devices, professional binoculars and two pistols and a revolver. Gaddafi and his team also had a collection of "tools" to force the victim to transfer Bitcoin, such as knives, telescopic batons, stun guns, and axes, as well as maps and records of the kidnapping. The criminals themselves have remained silent since the beginning of the investigation, not admitting guilt. They are facing up to 15 years imprisonment.
