As we communicated on August 29, Poland's largest cryptocurrency exchange BitBay has now restarted its fiat currency deposits. Withdrawals will reportedly work again in a few days. Is this the end of the platform's problems? Yesterday, the exchange announced the re-enabled deposit system on its Facebook profile: "We would like to inform you that deposits in fiat currencies PLN, EUR, USD and GBP are now available. New account numbers along with new deposit titles have been made available in the exchange panel and transfers can now be ordered. The first posting of deposits will take place tomorrow. Due to the operator's work, withdrawals in FIAT currencies will be restored in the following days. We will keep you informed about the progress. We are aware of the inconveniences and that is why, until the start of the payouts via bank transfers, the following are still available for free - deposits and withdrawals at post offices, - withdrawals in ATMs. Thank you for your understanding." Problems a BitBay BitBay has once again shown great professionalism when it comes to solving problems. Recall that complications with deposits and withdrawals of fiat currencies on the exchange were largely due to the collapse of Bitmarket. Both platforms had the same payment operator. It was Igoria. In turn, after the Bitmarket scandal, BOŚ Bank terminated the agreement for maintaining bank accounts. This translated into complications regarding the system of deposits and withdrawals of fiat currencies on BitBay. "Due to the lack of agreement between BOŚ Bank and the payment operator serving us [Igoria - author's note], we are forced to change the way we handle deposits and withdrawals in fiat currencies. As we informed you last week, we are prepared for such a situation. The accounts are already prepared. In the next few days we will switch the system over and provide new account numbers to our users". - the largest Polish exchange of digital currencies informed earlier. On the occasion, customers were also reassured: "The situation presented does not affect our liquidity. Our clients' funds are kept on independent bank accounts." As you can see, the situation was brought under control rather quickly. Tags bitmarket scandal bitbay bitbay stock exchange bitbay deposits and withdrawals Bitmarket Igoria Igoria bitmarket collapse
