The results of Sunday's election probably did not shock anyone. They were definitely won once again by the United Right, which in practice is a coalition of Law and Justice (PiS), Jarosław Gowin's Alliance and Zbigniew Ziobro's Solidarna Polska. However, we are interested in what lies ahead in terms of cryptocurrencies. The last four years of the United Right may evoke mixed feelings among cryptocurrency fans. On the one hand, we all remember the controversy over the PCC tax. However, it is worth mentioning that the situation was then saved by Jaroslaw Gowin's Agreement. Our editors got to the bottom of what was going on in the parliamentary spheres at the time... Agreement will save cryptocurrencies? Initial proposals in the sphere of tax legislation for the cryptocurrency market in Poland were prepared by the Polish Bitcoin Association, in alleviating the situation, a huge role was also played by politicians from the Arrangement - MP Wojciech Murdzek, who was then sitting in the Public Finance Committee (probably he will remain in it after the elections) and vice president of the Arrangement Robert Anacki. In the new term, the Covenant - according to the official results of elections, which were announced yesterday - will have 18 deputies and 2 senators. According to the information we got, the party will probably have its own parliamentary club, which will increase its influence on the government policy. In the latter, Jarosław Gowin as deputy prime minister and head of the education ministry and Jadwiga Emilewicz (minister of entrepreneurship and technology) will probably keep their posts. If in fact this political environment will continue to have a significant influence on the government, maybe the cryptocurrency and blockchain market will not be as bad as some fear. MP Murdzek himself declared to us that he will "defend blockchain" in Poland (we wrote about it here). Additionally, in the background we have a rather interesting provision in the PiS program. "An innovative approach should also characterize the administration. We will continue the development of e-services and artificial intelligence and blockchain, develop mobile services, adapting them to the expectations of citizens." - one can read in the document. The United Right and cryptocurrencies On the occasion of winning the election, we managed to talk to the deputy head of the Covenant, Robert Anacki. We pointed out that PiS is the only party that talks about blockchain in its program. Does this mean that the United Right will open up to this issue in the next four years? "We have in the camp of the United Right, and especially as the party Accord Jaroslaw Gowin, many ideas for the use of blockchain technology - especially in the administration, realizing how many improvements blockchain distributed registers can make in terms of procedural tasks of public administration units - in addition, in a secure, transparent way - and this is how we want to exercise power. We should certainly talk to industry experts, use the recommendations developed so far by associations, chambers, market players - the so-called "good practices". I am convinced that the so-called "good practices" of the market can form the basis for legislative work - however, this is inter-ministerial work - but since we managed to implement the "Small Social Insurance Fund" and hundreds of other improvements in the law for entrepreneurs, I am convinced that we can convince our colleagues in the government that the next term of office will be for the blockchain industry in Poland what it expects - that is, an orderly regulation to unleash the potential of this young, but very dynamic market. We want an innovative Poland - so there can be no lack of applications for the blockchain industry". - says Anacki. His words sound great. However, there is one "but". If only because of the "PCC affair" many of the investors and fans of cryptocurrencies may have become convinced that PiS or the entire United Right are hostile to digital currencies. According to Anacki, this is not true: "I know nothing about the authorities of PiS or the United Right being hostile to cryptocurrencies. Certainly, one should be cautious about such volatile markets, where cryptocurrency exchange rate fluctuations can reach tens of percent in a week - and this is not a rare phenomenon. Therefore, in my opinion, caution should be adopted in the narrative on cryptocurrencies, warning of the possible loss of invested funds, but caution is one thing, and a lack of favor is another. Please note that Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin together with the party Agreement consulted on cryptocurrencies, blockchain market with many people from the industry - for example, there was a meeting in the party, where Prime Minister Gowin listened to the recommendations of industry experts, including Professor Krzysztof Piech or the President of the Polish Bitcoin Association, Mr. Filip Pawczyński. We have a team for blockchain and cryptocurrencies in the Porozumienie party. It is deputies of the Agreement, Wojtek Murdzek and Michał Cieślak, together with my participation in the procedure of changes to get rid of the problem of PCC, which was indicated by the industry and many of its experts. So, however, the work at the interface of industry representatives and the government
