BitBay uses funds from fundraising to buy a tent for paramedics

BitBay's charity fundraiser to support the healthcare industry in the fight against COVID-19 has ended. Thanks to the exceptional generosity of the cryptocurrency community in Poland the initial goal of the fundraiser was quickly exceeded. After a commission-free currency conversion of the contributions, the amount of PLN 70,062.69 was raised. The first part of the funds in the amount of 10 000 PLN has already been transferred to the Polish Association of Emergency Medical Technicians in Tychy. The amount will be used to purchase a medical tent for a medical point or a field hospital for the patients of the Megrez Specialist Regional Hospital Ltd. in Tychy. The received donation for the purchase of the medical tent is a great support for the activities undertaken by the Polish Association of Emergency Medical Technicians. Within our Society, we are creating a group of medics called the Polish Medical Rescue Corps, who will undertake actions connected with health safety. The purchased tent will provide professional facilities to help people in health or life threatening situations. The BitBay fundraiser received tremendous support from the cryptocurrency community as well as media and institutions.
